Autumn Art Retreat 2024

As one of our first fully catered Hidden Forest Retreats, this Autumn Art Retreat is offered at an introductory rate of £850 for five nights. Please register your interest and we'll be in touch with more details.

What to bring

Suggestions and essentials:

• Many warm comfortable layers - warm jumpers/fleeces and waterproof jacket and trousers, hat/beanie and gloves. Walking boots / shoes essential, we have wellies to lend out but it may depend on your size - the Estate and beach hikes can be wet - the ‘Emerald Isle’ is so called for a reason !  bring comfortable house shoes/slippers to avoid outdoor shoes indoors.
• Bring your swim wear and reusable water bottle (we provide beach towels)
• Bring your own favourite art medium, we will provide paper and boards, easels etc and canvases and can supply watercolours, acrylics, pastels, charcoal and pencils. If wanting to use oils please let us know – you cannot transport these on any flights.  Completed works can be transported for you by car back to London for collection there or can be posted from UK at own cost.
• The most important ‘thing’ to bring along is your intention to relax, enrich, immerse, explore, expand and create, whether joining as a group, individual or a both participating couple.

Transport

Driving to Glenalla House and Estate

Pick up and drop off at Derry Airport (closest)

Our nearest airport is Derry, a 45 minute drive from the Estate. A private taxi will meet you at Derry Airport, we will aim to coordinate one pick up for those not driving. Ideally most retreaters will arrive on the same flight. If your own travel times do not align with others you may need to organise and pay for your own transfer. Local taxi and bus details can be provided. Please note, these times are based on the travel information that has worked for guests so far and may change depending on demand.
